 “Faze In started to produce functional watches five years ago, but now we focus on developing connected devices that link with smartphones and tablets via mobile apps. We are also a licensed manufacturer of bumpers and straps for branded smart watches. Six months ago, we launched EZIO smart watches that feature incoming call/message/email notifications and out-of-range alert. To look for distributors, we are showcasing our smart watches within the newly-launched Wearable Electronics Zone at the Hong Kong Electronics Fair. So far, we have met with buyers from Southeast Asia and European countries such as France, Germany, Italy, Spain and the UK. Buyers’ feedback has been very good. Due to growing popularity of wearable gadgets, we expect that many buyers will visit the Wearable Electronics Zone.”

 “Established in 1996, Promtechkomplekt distributes a wide range of active electronic devices such as transistors and rectifiers as well as connectors and aviation equipment in Russia. At present, we source our products from Europe and USA. This is our first visit to electronicAsia and I found it a rewarding journey. I’ve already identified 10 potential suppliers mainly from the Chinese mainland. We will take a closer look into their specifications and see if they match our requirements. I expect to place some sample orders involving about 200 pieces for our testing first. This is a very interesting fair with a strong mix of exhibitors and I have never seen such a large-scaled exhibition for electronic components and parts. We will certainly come to Hong Kong more often for sourcing.”

Further negotiations will be conducted with more than 10 potential suppliers for various products such as GPS/GSM antennas and modules for tracking systems and battery items. | Travel Tips |
Despite recent incidents in Hong Kong, Hong Kong continues to be a safe city for business with inbound and outbound flights operating normally. The Wanchai area is not affected and the HKCEC is operating normally.
Visitors are advised to allow extra time for commuting and are highly encouraged to travel to HKCEC by MTR and Star Ferry to avoid possible road traffic congestion. Enhanced free shuttle bus service between the HKCEC and major areas of the city is also available. |
